Golf Notes 3/10/22 – 9/10/22
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 34 players play a single stableford competition. The winner was S Dennis ocb from runner up W Gnech & G Philp with 35 pts. The rundown continued with K Rhodes, C Petroholis & T Russell 32 pts and D Dann, A Brown & N Halls 31 pts. Pin shots were received by W Gnech, T Russell & B May while A Leary & A Brown received the ladies. The Encouragement Award went to R Freeman while the members draw jackpotted. Next week will be a stableford competition.
Ladies:
Wednesday the ladies played a single stroke/monthly medal competition, sponsored by Scenic Rim Trophies. The winner was S Grace ocb from H Roebig with 69 net. Pin shots were received by S Grace & A Brown. This week will be a single stableford sponsored by Anna’s Hair & Beauty. This will be the next round of the Consistency Cup. Next week will be sponsored by Sandie Lees Cafe playing a single stableford competition.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters were sponsored by W Hall & B Sampson playing a stableford 1- 9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. The winner was M Gray with 29 pts, runner up was R Stinson ocb from G Eviston with 28 pts. The rundown went to L Vandenbrink 26 pts, R Cuneo, S Fahey, R Scells, T Russell & W Wieland 25 pts and B Lawrance & B Beasley 24 pts. Pin shots were received by R Cuneo on 4 while B Beasley received both 8 & 9. The Encouragement Award was won by R Holland. The Dugandan Dice winner was S Fahey with 5 nines. This week will be sponsored by Boonah Jewellery & Gifts playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. Next week will be the Pub Day playing a stableford 1-9 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday we played the Kath & Lex Forsyth Memorial sponsored by the Forsyth Family, playing a single stableford/monthly mug competition. We thank you for your continued support. The winner & monthly mug winner was J Browning ocb from runner up N Pellin with 40 pts, followed by G Grimsey 38 pts & W Hall 37 pts. The Ladies winner was S Reid with 36 pts, runner up was K Turner with 34 pts. The ball run down went to T Grimshaw, A Parker, P McNiven, I Pocock, J Miles, M Herrington & S Bailey 35 pts followed by K Wilson, G Parker, B Davey, G Maynard, W Martin, K Milligan & W Gnech 34 pts. Pin shots were received by A Brown & A Parker on 4/13, K Turner & J Miles received 8/17 while J Gurney received 9/18. This week will be the Fassifern Old Boys Rugby League Open Day playing a stableford competition. This will be a 12.30 shot gun start. Next week will be sponsored by Tony Holland Funerals.
