Monday Boonah Veterans
Last Monday the veterans played a Stableford competition, the winner was P. Cooper with 43 pts (I hope the handicapper found him), runner up was B. Brown with 38 pts followed by M. Maynard with 36 pts, P. Sheffeild and A. Brown with 34 pts and V. Riley with 32 pts. The NTP on 4/13 was received by A. Brown, 8/17 was won by V. Riley and 9/18 was won by A. Brown. R. Parnell received by encouragement award this week.
Last Wednesday was sponsored by Sugarloaf Bakery for a stroke event front nine plus 16-18. The winner was A. Stick with 45 and 2/3rds while the runner up T. Lynch had 46 and 1/3rd, the next best was R. Brooks with 47 followed by D. Webster and B. Brown with 47 and 2/3’rds. The NTP on 4 was won by S. Stick, 8/17 was received by T. Lynch and 9/18 was received by G. Parker. This week we play a single Stableford 10-18 + 7 -9 for Arthur Featherstones’ Trophy and the following week is Pub Day so have your teams organized to play a Stableford competition 1 -9 + 16-18.
Last Friday seen 11 golfers play a single Stableford 10-18 event and the winner for the afternoon was V. Riley with 21 pts, the runner up was Simon Fahey with 19 pts following in the rundown were T. Lynch with 18 pts, A. Featherstone 17 pts and B. Jones with 16 pts. Don’t forget the new time to start at 3pm, look forward to seeing you all then!
Last Saturday was a Monthly Mug Club Trophy. The winner was Simon Fahey with 40 pts, runner up was C. Philp with 39 pts, followed by T. Richardson and B. May with 38 pts, A. Browning 37 pts, G. Parker, P King, B. Gotke and J. McGrath all had 36 pts. Nearest the pins were won by T. Richardson on 4/13 with a Hole in One, the ladies 4/13 was won by Kris Cook, 8/17 was won J. Browning and 9/18 was won by R. Cuneo. The voucher winner was K Francis. We had an Accurate Drive on 7/16 which was won by P. King and also a Long Drive which was won by B. Gotke. Next week is Raceview Sand and Gravel Trophy sponsoring a Stroke Competition and the following week is AIS Insurance Day 4Ball Ambrose. The afternoon timeslot is almost full but plenty of room in the morning timeslot.
Chookies can tee off before 7. Social Club will be teeing off at 7 o’clock.
