Golf Notes 8/5/19 -12/5/19

Veterans: The Veterans had 26 players roll up to play a single stableford competition. The winner was M Gray with 39 pts, runner up W Martin with 37 pts. The run down went to M Sullivan & G Hunt with 36 pts, I Henry 35 pts, D Wall, A Brown & V Christensen 34 pts followed by D Forsyth & M Sim 33 pts. The mens tee shot on 4/13 was received by M Gray while K Kirgis received 8/17. The ladies tee shots on 8/17 was received by A Brown while 9/18 was received by D Wall. The Encouragement Award was received by H Gilbert while the Members Draw was won by P Cooper. Tomorrow and next week will be a stableford competition.

  Ladies:  Meryl Tress was our sponsor last week – thank you for providing trophies for the winner, runner-up, madam golfer and pin shots. Our winner was Vicki Bird who scored 40 stableford points and won on a countback from Jo McAntee. Jo set a new gross score for the year with a 76. You had better check your handicap ladies! Other scores were Anne Brown 35, Ellen Meagher, Linda Hooke and Kris Cook 34, Jan Edwards and Di Kuhnemann 33, Jenny Briant 32, Jill Pfingst 27, Meryl 26 and Robbe Fitzpatrick was Madam Golfer. Linda Hooke was on the money line and Jenny and Vicki won the pin shots. Wednesday we are playing for Jenny Briant’s day and the championships will be played over 4 rounds beginning this week-end. Good golfing and may all your putts drop in!.

Sporters:   Wednesday was sponsored by Peak Pool Performance playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. The winner was B Sampson with 26 pts, runner up J Browning 25 pts ocb from M O’Reilly, G Eviston & D Forsyth. The run down continued with G Lutter, B Beasley, K Kirgis, K Rhodes, R Brooks & L Vandenbrink with 24 pts. Pin shots were received by B Beasley on 13, R Stinson received 17 while J Browning received 18. This week will be sponsored by G Parker & L Blunt playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. The Dugandan Dice winner this week was M Maudsley. Next week will be sponsored by Boonah Tyre Service playing a stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. 

Friday:  Friendly Fridays had 24 players tee off playing a stableford front 9 competition. The winner was J Browning with 24 pts, runner up K Reinholdsson 23 pts followed by M Weber 22 pts. The run down went to P Cooper 21 pts, K Kirgis, B Lawrance & K Sawtell 20 pts followed by K McQuilty, P King & J Worley 19 pts and J McQuilty & V Christensen 18 pts. The pinshot was received by K Wilson while A Chisolm received the NAGA.

Saturday:   Saturday was the Fassifern Bushrangers Open Day, playing a stableford/monthly mug competition in windy conditions. The winner was B Brown with 42 pts, runner up A Hertweck 39 pts, followed by S Taylor, B Gotke & C Frohmuller 38 pts and S Lutter 37 pts. The ladies winner was D Wall with 31 pts, runner up J McAntee with 30 pts. The Social winner was L Allen with 72 net, runner up S Black 73 net followed by G Andrews 74 net. The run down went to G Lutter & G Parker 36 pts, R Eacott & W Jackson 35 pts, K McQuilty 34 pts, M O’Reilly, B Freiberg & S Francis 33 pts, followed by J McGrath, C Perrem, J Handley, M Dickson & J McQuilty 32 pts and R Maudsley, K Sawtell, S Bailey, W Hall, M Simmonds, G Eviston & E Andrew 31 pts. Pin Shots were received by G Andrews on 1/10, 2/11 was received by W Maudsley, B Gotke received 3/12, G Maynard & M Kuhnemann received 4/13, 5/14 & 7/16 were received by M Frohmuller, S Lutter received 6/15, D Forsyth & A Brown received 8/17 and E Andrew received 9/18. Sunday:  No Chook run results this week. Sunday we will be playing the 2nd round of the championships, social play will only be allowed after the last group have started their 2nd 9. Ring the club to make a booking or for any further details.
