Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 27 players, play a single stroke competition. The winner was J Browning ocb from runner up W Lovett with 73 net. The run down went to G Clark, P Duncan & D Forsyth 74 net and B Brown & T Roebig 75 net. Pin shots were received by J Browning, D Forsyth & B May while D Wall received by Ladies.
Womens:
The Women had 9 players play a single stableford competition kindly sponsored by R Picton. The winner was D Kuhnemann with 33 pts, runner up was L Edwards ocb from V Hume with 32 pts also ocb. The run down went to L Reinholdsson 32 pts, S Grace & H Roebig 28 pts followed by R Picton 27 pts, D Marshall 21 pts and T Stinson with 19 pts. The Pin shot was received by S Grace on 8/17. This week will be a single stroke competition for a club trophy. This is an 8am Shotgun.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters played the John Allan Memorial, playing a single stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition, sponsored by R Scells. The winner was C Jorgensen with 31 pts, runner up was R Burnett with 27 pts. The run down went to B Beasley & W Wieland 25 pts and L Vandenbrink & B Shaw with 24 pts. Pin shots were received by D Forsyth on 4, C Gatehouse received 8 while C Jorgensen received 9. The Boonah Tavern Dice winner was C Shannon. This week will be a 4BBB stableford 10 – 18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition, kindly sponsored by W Wieland & W Jones.
Saturday:
Saturday we played the 1st honor board event for the year with a 4BBB stroke competition, sponsored by The Boonah Tavern. Thanks for coming on board as a new sponsor. The winners were B Williams & G Grimsey ocb from runners up D Stanfield & W Lovett with 61 net, followed by J Miles & C Bell ocb from M Weber & S Fahey with 64 net ocb. The run down went to P McNiven & D Mortimer 64 net, P Hutson & R Picton, R Cuneo & G Eviston, S & L Edwards, J Tronc & J Surawski and R Freeman & M Oberle 65 net, G Maynard & B Sampson, T & S Bennett, C Gatehouse & C Perrem 66 net, A & B Shaw 67 net, followed by S Bailey & K Sawtell, T Reid Pocock & A Gill and S Fahey & S Lutter 68 net and R Burnett & K Hammond, L Blunt & G Parker and A Parker & B Lawrance with 69 net. Pin shots were received by J Tronc & S McKenzie on 4/13, A Heit & D Kuhnemann received 8/17 and S Bennett received 9/18. J Pfingsts’ name was randomly selected to the Captains Pot, Jill wasn’t at presentation so it will Jackpot to $40 this week. This Saturday will be playing a single stableford competition with a 10.30 shot gun start, kindly sponsored by C Perrem & S Grace.
Sunday: No Social Club, this week. Social play will be available. The clubhouse will be open from 7 am to 3 pm. Please ring the club to book your round and a buggy if requiring one to avoid disappointment.
