Monday Boonah Veterans
Last Monday veterans held their Open Day playing a single Stableford event. The mens winner for the day was G Sippel having 43 points and the runner up was S Nakano having 39 points following in the rundown were R Harriman and E Newlove each having 37 points, R Colley and V Wilson each had 36 points, M Crowther, A Nunn and J Potter each had 35 points, V Riley, B Broderick, M Tynan, L Hoffman, R Brooks, B Brown, N Halls and D Berry each had 34 points and completing the mens rundown with 33 points each were M Sperling, D Thomas, A Featherstone and C Shannon. The mens NTP on 4/13 was received by R Harriman and 8/17 was received by D Berry. The ladies winner for the day was C Vandaarlen having 37 points the runner up being J Meakin having 36 points following in the rundown were R McCliskie had 35 points, K Cook had 33 points and S Burrows and L Sperling completed the ladies rundown with 27 points. The ladies NTP on 4/13 was received by R McCliskie and 8/17 was received by C Vandaarlen. Well done to all players, enjoyable day had by all!
Last Wednesday Mick McGarrity held a single Stableford 1-9 + 16-18 event for his trophy day the winner being D Webster with 31 points and the runner up was R Scells on a count back of 27 points following in the rundown were D Mortimer and M Roberts each having countbacks on 27 points, H Gwynne and B May each had 26 points, J Dover and L Vandenbrink each had 25 points and W Weiland and W Hall each finished up with 24 points. The least number of Putts was received by L Vandenbrink only having 16 putts for the afternoon and M Roberts had the Longest Drive for the afternoon. The NTP on number 4 was received by A Stick, 8/17 was received by B Davey and 9/18 was received by G Sippel. This week we play a single stroke 1-9 event for John Potter’s trophy day and the following week we play a 4BBB Stableford 10-18 plus 7-9 event for Carlton trophy day.
There were 8 play a single Stableford 1-9 event in the Friday Friendly group last week. The winner for the afternoon was . M Crowther having 26 points and the runner up was L Brasington with 20 points following in the rundown were V Wilson also having 20 points and B Jones finished up with 19 points. Last Saturday seen the Greenskeepers Trophy Day playing a single stroke/monthly medal plus putts, sponsored by Tony Moller, Tim Farmers, B Gotke and Jason Smith. The over all winner for the day was Murray Christensen having 61 nett and the over all runner up was Simon Francis having 63 nett followed by Craig Ferguson having a count back of 66 nett. The mens A Grade winner was G Balharry having 66 nett, first runner up was J Browning having 67 nett, 2nd runner up was B May with a count back of 67 nett, 3rd runner up was C Philp with a count back of 67 nett, 4th runner up was W Draheim had 68 nett, 5th runner up was J Worley. B Grade mens winner was A Featherstone with 66 nett, 1st runner up was G Philp with 67 nett, 2nd runner up was N Toohey on a count back of 68 nett, 3rd runner up D Mortimer had a count back of 68 nett, 4th runner up was J Comp with 70 nett and 5th runner up was R Eacott with 71 nett. C Grade mens winner was C Shannon with a count back of 68 nett, 1st runner up was S Mudde with 68 nett, 2nd runner up was K Francis with 69 nett, 3rd runner up was T Weatherhead with 71 nett, 4th runner up was T Hutchinson with 72 nett and 5th runner up was T Richardson with 72 nett. In the rundown were G Maynard and T Moller each having 70 nett, S Fahey had 71 nett and completing the mens rundown on 72 nett each were J Thompson, P McNiven and P Eggenhuizen. The ladies winner for the day was Ann Farmers with 70 nett, runner up was S McKenzie with 73 nett followed by J Antcliff with a count back of 75 nett and S Bennet had 75 nett also. NTP’s were placed on every hole, 1/10 G Maynard, 2/11 G Sippel 3/12 T Domjahn, mens 4/13 G Balharry, ladies 4/13 S Bennet, 5/14 N Toohey, 6/15 Stu Fahey had an Eagle, 7/16 B Beasley, 8/17 B Beasley, 9/18 P Dadds. The putting comp winner was Wayne Draheim with 22 putts. Great day had by all! This Saturday we play a single stroke event for Ray Drapers trophy day and the following week will be the Girls trophy day playing a single Stableford event followed by Dr David Yeates trophy day playing a single Stableford monthly mug event. Championships will follow then for the next two weeks.Time sheets out now!!
