Monday Boonah Veterans

Last Monday veterans played a single Stableford event and the winner for the day was Bryan Hall with 39 points and the runner up was Vern Wilson with 38 points following in the rundown were A Featherstone, T Richardson, G Lever, S Morgan all with 38 points, A Henderson had 37 points, T Lynch, K Cook each had 36 points, E Newlove, G Henderson, D Berry each had 35 points, D Thomas and B Mathers each had 34 points, M McGarrity, D Dann, N Halls each had 33 points,R Winrow, R Brooks each had 32 points and M Boonstopper had 31 points. The NTP on 4/13 was received by V Wilson, the ladies NTP on 8/17 was received by K Cook and the mens NTP on 8/17 was received by V Wilson. The encouragement award went to R Rorie.

Wednesday Sporters

Last week Fassifern Pest Control (Merv Matthews) held a single stroke 10-18+7-9 event for his golf day. The winner for the day was Geoff Parker having 43 1/3 and the runner up was Gary Searle on a count back of 47 2/3 followed by L Vandenbrink also having 47 2/3. G Parker had the Best Gross 50. The NTP on 13 was received by G Parker, 8/17: M Crowther and 9/18: R Cuneo. This week we play a single Stableford 1-9+16-18 event for Dr David Yeates Trophy and the following week we play a single Stableford 10-18+7-9 for Boonah BP Trophy.

Friendly Fridays

Last Friday the competition played was a single Stableford 1-9 event and the winner was Lloyd Brasington having 22 points and the runner up was Vern Wilson having 21 points followed by A Featherstone and M McGarrity each having 19 points and G and A Henderson each finished up with 18 points! Tee off time is for 2.30pm, see you all then!

Saturday

Last Saturday seen 63 golfers play for the Beasley Bash Golf Day, the competition played was a single stroke monthly medal. The mens A grade winner was P King on a count of 69 nett and the runner up being W Gnech also having 69 nett. The mens B grade winner was P Ledlie with 70 nett and the runner up was P Dadds with 71 nett, Mens C grade winner was J Buganey with 66 nett and runner up was T Britton with 68 nett. The rundown consisted of R Humphrey with 69 nett, J Browning, J McGrath, G Roberts and M McGarrity each had 70 nett, J Shine had 71 nett, R Philp, B Hoskin, B May and C Philp each had 72 nett, A Browning, M Gnech and S Francis each finished up with 73 nett.

Foursomes net winners of Terry Lynch and Shelagh Zimmer, runners up of Di Kuhnemann and Greg Maynard. Next are the Gross winners Brendan Beasley and Dot Wall with the runners up Seren McKenzie and Jeff Browning.

The Ladies winner was D Wall on a count back of 73 nett and the runner up was J Baulch also having 73 nett. The Best Gross for the day was 73 by J Browning. NTP’s were place on every hole 1/10: J Browning, 2/11: B May, 3/12: J Browning, mens 4/13: D Mortimer, ladies 4/13: D Wall, 5/14: C Philp, 6/15: B May, 7/16: D McDonald, 8/17: J Browning, 9/18: A Gill. The longest drive on number 6 was received by J Browning. This week we play a single Stableford monthly mug for Noel Dover’s Memorial Golf Day and the following week will be a single stroke MDGA Qualifier round for GTL Transport’s trophy day, followed by Saturday and Sunday being Darvall Cup (2 day event). The Holden Scramble is fast approaching, timesheets are available for all events mentioned above.

Chookies

There were no chookies played last Sunday due to our 2011 Mixed Foursomes Championships. This week chookies may tee off before 7.30am or after 8am due to a small social group.

Sunday

Last Sunday the club held the 2011 Mixed Foursomes Championships and our Gross Winners for the year are Brendan Beasley and Dot Wall having a combined round of 127 and the runners up are Jeff Browning and Seren McKenzie having a combined round of 130. Our 2011 Nett Winners for 2011 are Terry Lynch and Shelagh Zimmer having a combined score of 103 ½ and the runners up are Di Kuhnemann and Greg Maynard having a combined score of 107 following in the rundown were L Edwards and A Browning 107 ¾, R Turner and K Turner 110 ¼, V Riley and K Cook 112 ½.
