Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 42 players play a single stroke competition. Due to the Public Holiday, we welcomed 5 Ladies not quite old enough to join as Veterans. The winner was D Forsyth with 66 net, runner up S Dennis with 68 net. The ball run down went to J Trovatello, L Edwards & J More 70 net, B May & G Hunt 72 net, followed by W Hill & C Petrohilos 73 net and D Mortimer, M Gnech & N Zahnow with 74 net. Our not quite old enough Vets winner was J Wilson with 70 net, runner up was N Stanfield with 77 net. Pin Shots were received by S Dennis, C Petrohilos & J Torvatello while the ladies were received by L Edwards, J Wilson & Z Eviston.
Ladies:
Wednesday the Ladies had 15 players, play a single stableford competition, kindly sponsored by the Dugandan Hotel. This was the next round of the Consistency Cup. The winner was B Dover with 39 pts, runner up was N Stanfield ocb from S Reid with 37 pts. The run down continued with T Stinson 34 pts and S Savery & J Baulch with 33 pts. Pin shots were received by B Dover on 4/13 while S Savery received 8/17. This week will be a 2 ball Ambrose competition, kindly sponsored by J Baulch. Next week will be the Annette Geiger Memorial, kindly sponsored by J Dover. This will be an Invitational Day for our male members wishing to play an 18 hole competition.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters played the Glenn Sippel Memorial sponsored by his QFS Mates, D Forsyth & B Brown, playing single stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. The winner was J More with 29 pts, runner up was W Hall with 28 pts. The run went to W Lovett & S Edwards 27 pts, B Davey & B Brown 26 pts, followed by J McGrath, G Searle & D Forsyth 25 pts and M O’Reilly with 24 pts. J McGrath received both pin shots on 8 & 9. This week will be sponsored by M Gray & R Holland playing a single stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday was sponsored by FIS Insurance. Thanks to FIS for the continued support. The Overall winner was B May with 44 pts. The mens winner was C Perrem ocb from runner up D Wong with 40 pts. The Ladies winner was A Leary ocb from runner up S McKenzie with 38 pts. The run down went to C Jorgensen, B Sampson & J West with 38 pts, S Lutter, S Francis, P Gerhardt, I Pocock, G Philp & E Bentley 37 pts, followed by G Clark, M Jackwitz, D Spink, J Gurney, R Cunoe, W Martin & A Gill with 36 pts. Pin shots were received by R Cuneo & T Reid Pocock on 4/13, M Sharpe & E Meagher received 8/17 while C Stephan & S McKenzie received 9/18. This week will be the Boonah Rotary Club Open Day, playing a single stableford competition. Next week will be. sponsored by Boonah Home Improvements playing a 3 ball Ambrose competition.
Pennants:
Both of our Pennants Teams played on Sunday. Team 1 played Sandy Gallop and lost 4/5. B Freiberg, D Bass, A Moore & A Parker won their matches while A Gill, K Wilson, K Milligan, E Bentley & P Schwarz lost their matches.
Our Team 2 had a win 4/3. S Bennett, B Lawrance & J Miles won their matches, W Martin & L Saunders both lost, while G Hunt & C Bell squared their matches.
Sunday:
This week we have a social club using all the buggies. Social play will be available, though no buggies will be available until they have finished their round.
