Golf Notes 21/9/26 – 27/9/26

Veterans: 

Monday the Veterans had 36 players, play a single stroke competition.  The winner was V Little with 68 net, runner up was D Bass with 69 net.  The run down went to D Wall, M Gnech & B Shaw with 70 net, followed by M Wyvill 71 net and R Burnett, G Sharpe, P Hutson & D Stanfield with 73 net.   Pin shots were received D Wall, P Hutson & M Gnech. 

Womens:

Wednesday the Women had 9 players tee off, playing a 3 person Ambrose competition, kindly sponsored by J Baulch.    The winners were B Dover, V Little & T Stinson with 62.667.  The Pin shots were received by Team Dover.  The run down went to L Reinholdsson, J Dover, V Sampson, D Marshll, S Reid & T Reid Pocock.  This week will be sponsored by T Reid Pocock playing a single stableford front 9 and a single stroke back 9 competition.

Sporters:

Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored by The President playing an 18 hole foursomes stableford competition. The winners were D Stanfield & T Henderson with 39 pts, runners up were L Blunt & R Scells with 38 pts.  The run down went to B Shaw & J More 36 pts and M O’Reilly & N Hooke with 34 pts.  Pin Shots were received by G Eviston on 4/13, while G Parker received 9/18.    The Boonah Tavern Dice winner was A Hertweck.  This week will be sponsored by B Sampson & W Hall playing a 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 stableford competition.

Saturday:

Saturday we played The Graham Maynard Memorial sponsored by Greg & Maureen, playing a single stableford competiton.  This was also the Firies trophy for the year.  The winner was S Lutter with 42 pts, runner up was C Whyte with 41 pts, followed by W Bentley, J West & L Blunt with 40 pts and J Pedley ocb from A Hertweck with 39 pts.   The Womens winner was S McKenzie with 40 pts, runner up was T Reid Pocock with 36 pts, followed by Z Eviston ocb from A Tomlinson with 35 pts. The Firies winner was G Maynard.  The Social winner was T Maynard.  The best gross for the day was S Lutter with 72 off the stick.  Pin shots were received by W Maudsley on 1/10 & 2/11, 3/12 was received by L Blunt, D Mortimer & S Savery received 4/13, D Wong received 5/14, P Duncan received 6/15, I Pocock received 7/16, D Bass & S McKenzie received 8/17 while W Bentley received 9/18. B Williams’ name was randomly selected for the Captains Pot.  Barry wasn’t at presentation so it will jackpot to $60 this week.  This week will be The K & L Forsyth Memorial sponsored by their family, playing a single stroke/monthly medal competition.  This will be the next round of the Claret Jug Challenge, sponsored by Platinum Edge Properties.

Sunday: 4th October:

This week we have a large Social Club using all of our buggies.    Buggies will be available after completion of their game.   Ring the club to book your round and buggy if requiring one.
