Monday the Veterans had 37 players, play a single stroke competition. The winner was R Freeman ocb from runner up P Edward Ross & J Picton with 68 net. The run down continued with W Hill 71 net, J Gurney & D Turner 72 net, followed by B May, J Stephan, T Henderson & W Maudsley 73 net, D Mortimer & J Browning 74 net and D Stanfield, A Swift, D Bass P Norris & B Sampson 75 net. Ladies:
Wednesday the Ladies had 17 players play a single stroke/monthly medal competition, for a club trophy. The winner was R Picton with 63 net, runner up was K Foote with 68 net. The run down went to J Dover 69 net, H Roebig & V Hume with 70 net. Pin shots were received by D Marshall on 4/13 while D Kuhnemann received 8/17. This week will be a single stableford competition, kindly sponsored by Laraine Gurnett.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters played the annual Fassifern Pubs Day playing a stableford 9 hole competition. The daily winner was K Baartz, runner up was C Jorgensen followed by C Stepahn. The run down continued with C Gatehouse, D Stanfield, B Beasley, G Eviston, R Cuneo, S Fahey, A Bennett, W Maudsley, B Shaw, A Hertweck & J More. The winning team was from the Commercial. Saturday:
Saturday we played the Final round of the Claret Jug Challenge, kindly sponsored by Platinum Edge Properties. This was a single stoke/monthly medal competition. Thanks Peter for your continued support. The Mens Winner was K Hammond with 64 net, runner up was W Martin ocb from A Heit with 67 net. The Ladies winner was T Reid Pocock with 69 net, runner up was Z Eviston with 70 net. The run down continued with G Yeomans 68 net, J McGrath & M O’Reilly 69 net, J West, P Eggenhuizen, P Gerhardt, S Avery, A Hertweck & S Savery with 70 net, followed by J Lynch, D Stanfield, R Lawrie & B Beasley 71 net, and J Gurney, K Wilson, D Spink, M Herrington, M Dickson, D Wall & K Turner with 72 net. Pin shots were received by P Gerhardt & D Wall on 4/13, A Parker & V Hume received 8/17 while B Beasley & S Savery received 9/18. The Accurate Drives were received by A Hertweck & Z Eviston. The Division 1 side had a loss 5 to 4. K Wilson, D Bass, A Moore & C Perrem all won while B Freiberg, S Fahey, A Gill, K Milligan & D Wong had a loss.
Our Division 2 side suffered a loss against Lowood at Laidley 6½ – ½ S Bennett lost 1 down, W Martin squared his match, A Bennett lost 2/1, G Yeomans lost 4/3, J Surawski lost 7/6, D Tomlinson lost 3/2 while J Miles lost 2/1.
