Golf Notes 17/2/20 – 23/2/20

Veterans: No Veterans on Monday due to the course being closed. Tomorrow will be a stableford competition.  Next week will be the Boonah Fassifern Day playing a stableford competition. Please be there @ 8 am for a 8.30 shot gun start.

Ladies:   At last we could get on the course with our buggies. So last Wednesday we played a stableford for a club trophy. This was won by Jo McAntee with 30 points with Margaret Kuhnemann runner-up with 29 points. Other results were N Mulligan & E Meagher with 27, A Tomlinson 23, V Bird 22 & M Maynard 18. The nearest the pin on 4/13 was Jo McAntee and on 8/17 was Marg Kuhnemann. Next week will be a stableford for a club trophy. Don’t forget hit off time is still 8 am. Our first monthly medal is 4th March. This will be a stroke event with putting. Trophy donated by Boonah Hair Design. So after all this rain and not being able to use our buggies we will be able to get back to golf and the course will be in good condition so may all your putts drop in. Birdie.

Sporters:   Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored by M O’Reilly playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. The winner was R Eacott with 27 pts, runner up R Cuneo with 24 pts. The run down went to S Edwards, J Handley & C Bell with 23 pts. Pin shots were received by R Cuneo on 4 & 9. The Dugandan Dice winner was D Forsyth with 4 Aces. This week will be sponsored by the Dover family for the Joe Dover Memorial, playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition Next week will be sponsored by Don Webster playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. Friendly Fridays:  Friendly Fridays had 20 players tee off for a stroke front 9 competition. The winner was M Schubring with 28 net, runner up S Lutter with 34 net ocb from S Edwards. The run down went to B May 35 net & W Martin with 36 net. The pin shot was received by M Schubring while P Cooper received the NAGA.  

Saturday:   Saturday was sponsored by The Good Times Pub Group playing a 4 Ball Ambrose competition. The winners ocb were G Sharpe, T Russell, G Hunt & W Martin from C & K Wilson, P Rabbitt & J Grimsey. Sunday:   This week we have Swifts Social Club teeing off at 7 am, using all the buggies. Buggies will only be available after they have completed their round. Go Girls will be teeing off at 3 pm if ladies would like a round of 9 holes on a Sunday afternoon. Ring the club to make a booking or for any further details.
