Golf Notes 25/09/2017 – 30/09/2017

The Annette Geiger Memorial was played last Wednesday and there was a 3 way tie for the honour of having the silver salver engraved with the winner’s name. Jenny Briant won from Jill Pfingst and Jo McAntee all having a 35 stableford point score. Anne Brown had 34, Linda Hooke, Margaret Kuhnemann and Jan Baulch 32 then Juleen Sippel 28. Fran Licciardo joined in for 9 holes. Pin shot on 4/13 was Anne and 8/17 Marg. As it is the first Wednesday of the month today it is a stroke round counting putts and the 9th monthly medal sponsored by Anna’s Hair. We thank all our sponsors for supporting ladies golf. Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored by Sugarloaf Bakery playing a stroke 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15. The winner was M Crowther with 44 net, runner up R Brooks with 46 net. The run down went to M Weber, M O’Reilly & R Maudsley 47 net, J McGrath & B Brown 48 net, followed by M Maudsley, D Webster, W Wieland, M Hassan & S Fahey 49 net. The best gross for the day was a tie between B May & S Fahey with 54 of the stick. Pin shots were received by R Cuneo on 4, A Skinner received 8 while B Davey received 9. Friendly Friday
Friendly Fridays had 10 players tee off playing a stroke back 9 competition for Big Money Day. The winner was R Brooks with 31 net, runner up P King with 33 net, followed by L Rhodes with 35 net. The rundown went to M Crowther, W Martin, R Fitzgerald, B May & R Eacott all with 36 net. The best gross for the day was P King with 37 off the stick. The pinshots were received by P King & B May while K Rhodes received by NAGA.

Sunday the Division 1 team lost to Laidley 5/4 while the Division 2 team also lost 4/1 to Ipswich 1
