Golf Notes 6/05/2013 -12/05/2013


Monday the Veterans played a stableford competition.  The winner was E. Wright on a count back from runner up V. Riley with 37 pts.  The run down went to B. Jones 36 pts, C. Greet 35 pts, followed by C. Shannon 34 pts and D. Yeates & A. Featherstone with 33 pts.  The pin shots were received by V. Wilson on 4/13, 8/17 was received by P. Harbers while the ladies was received by K. Cook.  The Encouragement Award went to R. Featherstone while V. Wilson received the members draw.


Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored E. Newlove & M. O’Reilly playing a stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6. The winner was A. Holt with 42 net, runner up A. Stick with 48 net on a count back from W. Maudsley, the rundown continued with M. O’Reilly 47 net and T. Farmers & A. Featherstone with 49 net. The best gross was received by W. Maudsley with 49.  Nearest the pins were received by M. Crowther on 13, L. Judson received 17, while W. Maudsley received 18.  This week will be sponsored by Geoff Parker playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15.  Next week will be sponsored by Boonah Tyre Service playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6.

Friendly Friday

Friday 16 players teed off for a stableford 1 – 9 competition.  The winner with 23 pts was B. Jones on a count back from Son in Law J. Browning.  The run down went to A. Heit 19 pts followed by A. Featherstone.  The ntp was received by S. Fahey. Come along and enjoy a friendly afternoon, but don’t forget we now tee off at 2.30 for the winter season……………  See you all there.


Saturday was sponsored by The Bruckner Family as we played the Cap Bruckner Memorial.  The A Grade winner was R. McConnell ocb from runner up B. May with 38 pts. The B. Grade winner was B. Spranklin with 43 pts, runner up D. Forsyth 39 pts.  C. Grade winner and the Monthly Mug winner is M. Dickson with 42 pts, runner up S. Edwards 41 pts.  The ladies winner was K. Cook with 39 pts, runner up J. Baulch with 37 pts.  The run down went to J. Buganey 39 pts, M. Simpson 38 pts, followed by J. Handley & A. Hertweck with 37 pts and K. Adie and D. Bond with 36 pts.  The pin shots were received by G. Philp 4/13 while the ladies was D. Wall, 8/17 was received by G. Maynard while the ladies was received by A. Brown, and 9/18 was received by B. May.  The pro pin sponsored by Sugarloaf Bakery is currently held by A. Brown with 1.4 metres.


Sunday we have the Dinmore Social club teeing off at 7.30am.  Social players will be able to tee off after the Social Club have played their first 9.  Ring the club for further details
