Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 42 players, play a single stableford competition. The winner was J Hoare with 40 pts, runner up D Gittins with 39 pts. The run down went to J Gurney & D Beazley 38 pts, E Van Haeften & R Lawrie 36 pts, followed by D Dann & D Forsyth 33 pts and B Hamilton, D Mortimer, G Philp, M Gray, S Grace & I Pocock with 32 pts. Pins shots were received by D Beazley with a hole in 1, L Blunt & D Bass while S Grace received the ladies.
Womens:
The Women played a single stroke/monthly medal competition, for a club trophy. The winner was S Savery with 73 net, runner up D Kuhnemann ocb from A Shaw & A Mazzei with 74 net. The run down continued with D Marshall 75 net and S Grace with 76 net. The pin shot on 4/13 was received by N Stanfield while 8/17 was received by L Edwards.
Sporters:
The Sporters played the John Maynard Memorial sponsored by his family, playing a single stroke 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. The winner was W Jones with 42 net, runner up was S Fahey with 44 net. The run down went to R Stinson 45 net, M O’Reilly 47 net, P Willett, D Beazley, S Edwards & B Lynch with 48 net followed by W Lovett, G Eviston, P Schwarz & R Cuneo with 49 net. Pin shots were received by L Blunt on 4 & 8 while S Fahey received 9. The achievements of the day were S Fahey with best gross for the day with 47 off the stick and this being a bogey free round for Simon. The Boonah Tavern Dice winner was G Eviston. This week will be sponsored by L Vandenbrink playing a singe stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday was sponsored by Mr Wong Hydraulics playing a single stableford/monthly mug competition. Thanks to Mr Wong for coming on as a new sponsor. The mens winner and monthly mug winner was J Tronc with 45 pts, runner up was K Wilson with 41 pts (this was a 69 off the stick for Kaleb) followed by A Parker with 40 pts. The womens winner and monthly mug winner was S Grace with 42 pts, runner up was L Edwards with 39 pts followed by J Pfingst with 38 pts. Pin shots were received by A Bennett & L Edwards on 4/13, A Clifton & D Kuhnemann received 8/17 and K Hammond & J Pfingst received 9/18. The run down went to M Oberle 37 pts, S Lutter, J Gurney, A Heit, G Philp & M Gnech 36 pts, J Browning, R Lawrie & G Eviston 35 pts, B Lynch, W Maudsley P McNiven, & D Bass 34 pts followed by B Freiberg, M Herrington, M Sharpe, M Weber, L Gordon, W Bentley, E Vanhaeften & C Stephan with 33 pts. Mr Wong also had prizes in A, B & C Grade Men and Women A & B Grade winners and runners up who did not received prizes in the overall event. These were given to A Bennett winner of A Grade and B Shaw runner up, B Grade winner was K Sawtell, runner up was K Hammond. C Grade winner was B Calabrese, runner up was D Gittins. Womens A Grade winner was S Reid, runner up was D Wall. B Grade winner was D Kuhnemann, runner up was V Hume. W Bentleys name was randomly selected to the Captains Pot. Will wasn’t at presentation so it will jackpot this week. This week we will be playing the Australia Day Cup sponsored by Dan Pennell from Arthur Clives Bakery, this is a 4BBB stableford competition.
Sunday: This week we have a Social Club using all of our buggies. Social play will be available, after they have finished their games. Please ring the club to book your round and a buggy if requiring one to avoid disappointment.
