Monday the Veterans didn’t play due to the course being closed.
Ladies:
Wednesday the Ladies had 15 players, play a single stableford competition kindly sponsored by Hair Shine. This was an Invitational Day. The winner was J Browning with 35 pts, runner up was R Picton with 34 pts. The run down went to L Edwards, D Marshall, D Beazley, W Lovett & H Roebig with 32 pts. Pin shots were received by K Foote & D Beazley on 4/13 while H Roebig received 8/17. This week will be a single stableford competition. This is a Consistency Cup round.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters played the Final round of their Championships, kindly sponsored by Dover & Sons. The winner was B Davey with 44 net, runner up J Picton with 45 net. The run down went to G Hunt & L Blunt 46 net, followed by G Eviston, D Stanford & M Wyvill with 47 net and S Fahey 48 net. Pin shots were received by P Willett on 13, G Eviston received 17 while C Farnan received 18. The Achievements of the day was M Wyvill having a bogey free round with the best gross for the day of 48 off the stick. This week will be sponsored by D Forsyth & B Brown playing a single stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.
The Sporters Champions for 2025 are A Grade W Gnech, B Grade P Schwarz and C Grade D Stanfield. The best gross for the Championships sponsored by W Gnech went to M Wyvill, while A Hertwecks’ ham went to R Stinson. Congratulations to all.
Saturday:
Saturday we played a 4 ball Ambrose competition, kindly sponsored by Darren Miles from Miles Ahead Plumbing. The winners were A Parker, D Wong, K Hammond & J West with 53.375, runners up were A, T & S Bennett and J Finney with 54.25, followed by C Bell, J & D Miles & G Eviston with 56.375. The run down went to G Yeomans, J Dover, C Stephan & J Surawski 55.625, J Picton, M Jackwitz & P Schwarz 56 net, followed by D Spink, R Higgs, P Dadds & W Martin 56.25 and B Lynch, S Bailey, K Sawtell & B Perrem with 56.5. Pin shots were received by H Perremm & L Edwards on 4/13, D Baldwin & B Dover received 8/17. The Longest Putts went to W Martin on 2/11 and J West on 9/18. This week end we are playing The Scenic Rim Classic sponsored by Dover & Sons. This is a 4BBB stroke competition. You have to go online to register and play for your game. If you have trouble doing so ring the club between 8.30 & 3pm.
