Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 68 players, play a single stableford competition, for the Scenic Rim Day that was washed out last year. The mens winner was E Van Haeften ocb from runner up D Bass with 37 pts, followed by G Hunt with 35 pts. The ladies winner was D Wall with 32 pts, runner up was K Sami with 30 pts, followed by D Reid with 28 pts. The run down went to B May 34 pts, R Hewlett, W Hill & J Smith 33 pts followed by P De Bues, B Mahony, G Owen & M Whitney 32 pts and G Philp, R Stinson & R Lawrie with 31 pts. Pin shots were received by D Bass, W Maudsley & G Hunt while C Van Daalen, P Waters & D Wall received the ladies.
Womens:
The Women had 14 players play a single stroke/monthly medal competition, for a club trophy. The winner was D Kuhnemann with 74 net, runner up was L Edwards with 76 net. The run down went to V Hume & J Dover 77 net, N Stanfield 78 net & A Mazzei with 79 net. The pin shot on 4/13 was received by N Stanfield while 8/17 was received by D Marshall.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters were sponsored by T Henderson playing a single stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. The winner was G Hunt with 29 pts, runner up W Lovett with 28 pts ocb. The run down went to T Henderson 28 pts, J Picton, B Shaw, R Cuneo & L Vandenbrink with 26 pts and S Edwards with 24 pts. Pin shots were received by W Lovett on 17 while D Stanfield received 18. The Boonah Tavern Dice winner was B Shaw. This week will be sponsored by M O’Reilly playing a single stroke 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday we played a single stroke/monthly medal competition, kindly sponsored by C F & J E Miles. This was the Order Of Merit for the Moreton District. The A Grade winner was B Lynch with 66 net, runner up was S Bennett with 69 net followed by C Ainsworth & G Haviland with 73 net. B Grade winner was J Sumner ocb from runner up G Yeomans with 67 net followed by C Gatehouse with 68 net. C Grade winner was P Dadds with 70 net, runner up was D Stanfield with 74 net. The Womens winner was S Grace with 71 net, runner up was L Edwards with 72 net. Pin shots were received by A Moore on 1/10, 2/11 was received by R Brown, 3/12 was received by D Tomlinson, T Pearce & A Tomlinson on 4/13, M Wyvill received 5/14, J Picton received 6/15, W Maudsley received 7/16, P Eggenhuizen & S Grace received 8/17 and I Pocock received 9/18. N Campbells name was randomly selected to the Captains Pot. Neil wasn’t at presentation so it will jackpot this week. Sam Bennett won the best gross for the day with 70 off the stick, Sam also had an Eagle on 3. This Saturday will be sponsored by Boonah Real Estate playing a single stableford/monthly mug competition.
Sunday: No Social Club this week. Social play will be available all day. Please ring the club to book your round and a buggy if requiring one to avoid disappointment.
