Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 67 players play a single stableford competition, for the Boonah Veterans Open Day. The mens winner was J Gurney with 41 pts, runner up was D Bass with 40 pts. The run down went to T Roebig 37 pts, B Mahony & E Van Daalen 36 pts, followed by W Gnech & P Duncan 35 pts and S Edwards, S De Feu, G Hunt & R Stinson with 34 pts. The Ladies Winner was E Waters ocb from runner up K Turner with 33 pts followed by D Wall with 31 pts. The run down went to P Major, C Van Daalen & N Mulligan with 30 pts. Pin shots were received B Mahony & C Van Daalen on 4/13, D Bass & D Wall received 8/17 while W Maudsley & C Van Daalen received 9/18.
Womens:
Wednesday the Women had 26 players tee off, playing a single stableford competition, kindly sponsored by L Edwards. This was an Invitational Day. The winner was J Marshall with 44 pts, runner up D Bass with 40 pts. The run down went to N Stanfield 38 pts, S Savery & S Reid 36 pts, followed by J Edwards & B Dover 35 pts and S Edwards with 34 pts. Pin shots were received by R Stinson & N Stanfield on 4/13 while 8/17 was received by S Reid & D Bass. This week will be a single stableford competition, kindly sponsored by J Dover.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters played a single stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition, kindly sponsored by M Gray & R Holland. The winner was G Eviston with 31 pts, runner up was P Willett with 30 pts. The run down went to D Forsyth & D Beazley 28 pts, S Fahey & G Searle 27 pts followed by P Schwarz 26 pts, W Gnech & B Lynch 25 pts and J Strutt with 24 pts. Pin Shots were received by G Eviston on 4, P Schwarz received 8 while S Fahey received 9. The Achievement of the day was P Willett having a 5 pointer. The Boonah Tavern Dice winner was M O’Reilly. This week will be the Hal Gwynne Memorial, kindly sponsored by the Eviston Brothers, playing a single stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday we played be The Boonah Rotary Club Open Day. Thanks to their sponsors and all the Rotarians for your support. The Overall Winner was S Savery with 42 pts. The Womens Winner was V Sampson ocb from runner up A Shaw & V Little with 41 pts, followed by H Roebig 39 pts, N Stanfield 36 pts and A Leary with 35 pts. The Mens Winner was S Roberts with 38 pts, runner up was S Bennett acb from S Lutter, P Duncan, J Browning & W Gnech with 37 pts. B Grade Winner was J Neal with 39 pts, runner up was C Wilson with 38 pts, followed by S Blackburn 37 pts, I Pocock 36 pts and D Spink & D Mortimer with 35 pts. C Grade winner was M Morrison with 41 pts, runner up was R Freeman with 40 pts, followed by B Sampson 39 pts, C Shannon ocb from D Stanfield, D Salton 38 pts and A Hertweck with 37 pts. The Social Winner was J Hertweck, runner up was C Harsant. The All Abilities winner was T Vague, runner up was D Marshall. Pin shots were received by J West on 1/10, M Wyvill received 2/11, A Leary, S Savery & M Morrison received 3/12, S Fahey & J Wilson received 4/13, S Fahey received 5/14, S McKenzie received 6/15 D Stanfield received 7/16, J Lynch & J Wilson received 8/17 while J Lynch received 9/18. The Long Drives were received by S McKenzie, A Gill, K Hammond & G Robers. D Miles name was randomly selected for the Captains Pot. Darren was at presentation so it will revert back to $20 this week. We have a social club using all the buggies. Social play with people wanting buggies will be available after completion of their games.
Pennants:
This week the Division 2 side travelled to Rosewood, playing Brookwater and had a draw 3.5 – 3.5. S Bennett won, B Lawrance lost, T Bennet drew his match, J Surawski lost, L Saunders & H Perrem both had wins while M Morrison had a loss.
