Wednesday the Women had 21 players tee off, playing a single stableford competition, for the Invitational Day kindly sponsored by D Marshall. The winner was P Hutson with 36 pts , runner up was M Wyvill with 33 pts. The run down went to L Reinholdsson and J Browning with 31 pts. Pin shots were received by A & D Tomlinson on 4/13 while T Reid Pocock & M Wyvill received 8/17. This week will be a single stableford competition kindly sponsored by Anna’s Hair & Beauty.
Pennants:
Friday the Women played McLeod at Indooroopilly going down 4/3. S Savery, L Edwards & H Roebig having wins while V Little, A Tomlinson, J Wilson & N Stanfield went down.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored by Boonah Tyrepower playing a single stroke 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. The winner was G Hunt ocb from runner up L Blunt & G Parker with 49 net. Pin shots were received by S Fahey on 4, G Eviston received 8 while R Cuneo received 9. The Boonah Tavern Dice winner was T Henderson. This week will be sponsored by J McGrath playing a single stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday we played a single stroke competition for the final round of our Championships, sponsored by the Patrons. The winner was L Saunders with 67 net, runner up was M Wyvill ocb from D Spink with 68 net, followed by W Maudsley 69 net and S Edwards with 70 net ocb. The womens winner was S Savery with 70 net, runner up was S Grace with 71 net. The run down went to K McQuilty, W Lovett, M Jackwitz & E VanHaeften 70 net, B Beasley 71 net, P McNiven, C Whyte & C Lankowski 72 net, A Moore, A Gill, L Blunt, K Wilson, J Brannelly & G Philp 73 followed by C Bell, W Gnech, B Lawrance, W Hill & T Roebig 74 net, and G Martin, B Philp, T Bennett, B Freiberg, K Sawtell, S Francis, I Pocock, B Gotke, D Wong, D Tomlinson & J Pfingst with 75 net. Pin shots were received by R Cuneo & D Marshall on 4/13, B Gotke & S Grace received 8/17 while A Moore & S McKenzie received 9/18. D Stanfields name was randomly selected for the Captains Pot. David was at presentation so it will revert back to $20 next week. This week will be sponsored by E & W Bentley playing a single stableford competition.
