Golf Notes 8/12/25 – 14/12/25

Veterans: 

Monday the Veterans had 32 players play a single stableford competition.  The winner was W Maudsley ocb from runner up V Hume with 38 pts.  The run down went to R Stinson 37 pts, G Sharpe & D Bass 36 pts, G Hunt, D Mortimer & C Siellaff 35 pts followed by J Browning, D Wall. L Blunt, R Lawrie 34 pts and J Gurney & M Gray 33 pts.   Pins shots were received by J Gurney, G Sharpe & W Maudsley, while V Hume & D Wall received the ladies.  The Veterans will be recess from Monday to the 5th January 2026.

Sporters: 

Wednesday the Sporters played The Lew Lutter Memorial playing a single stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition, sponsored by S Lutter, Family & Friends. The winner was R Freeman with 28 pts, runner up was R Maudsley with 27 pts.    The run down went to L Blunt & B Brown 26 pts followed by M Dickson ocb from W Gnech with 25 pts.    Pin shots were received by S Lutter on 4 & B Beasley received 8.   The Boonah Tavern Dice Winner was D Stanfield.  The Achievements for the day were C Shannon & W Wieland as the Best Dressed and N Hooke received the NAGA.  Sporters will return on the 7th January, 2026.

Saturday:

Saturday was sponsored by Peak Pool Performance, playing a single stableford/monthly mug play off.   The Mens A Grade winner was G Clark with 40 pts, runner up was P King with 39 pts.  B Grade winner was C Gatehouse with 43 pts, runner up was R Cuneo with 40 pts.  C Grade winner was M Jackwitz with 36 pts, runner up was C Shannon with 35 pts.  The Ladies winner A Tomlinson with 44 pts, runner up was Z Eviston with 39 pts.  The run down went to The Monthly Mug winner W Maudsley & J Picton with 38 pts,  D Wong & R Higgs 37 pts, M Herrington, A Moore, J Lynch & A Leary 36 pts, followed by K Wilson, B Shaw, R Lawrie, W Martin, W Hill, M Gnech, L Blunt, J West, L Saunders, K Milligan & W Hall 35 pts and G Hunt, J McGrath, D Green, B Lawrance, C Whyte, M Dickson, V Hume & S Grace with 34 pts.   Pin shots were received by G Martin & S Grace on 4/13, R Lawrie & B Dover received 8/17 and S Fahey & S McKenzie received 9/18.   This week will be our closing day, playing a 2 ball ambrose competition.

The Saturday competition will resume on the 3rd January, 2026 playing a 2 ball Ambrose competition, kindly sponsored by S & L Edwards.

Sunday:

No Social Club this week.   Social play will be available, though we ask you to ring the club to book your round and a buggy if requiring one to avoid disappointment.  The Clubhouse will be closing at 3 pm for a private function on Sunday. We hope you have a Happy Christmas & a safe New Year.  The clubhouse will be closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Years Day.  See you all back on the greens in 2026.
